We are a dynamic Ethiopian consultancy firm offering tailored research, strategy, and evaluation solutions to development partners and clients across Africa.
Founded in 2016, Insights consults is a legally registered firm in Ethiopia. Insights Consults, with its partners, has successfully rendered consultancy services on impact assessments, midterm and final evaluations, exploratory and verification surveys, capacity mapping assessments, baseline studies, and has provided various technical support for several organizations. The team at Insights Consults PLC operates nationally, having local coordinators that speak more than ten major local languages. We have an excellent logistics system in place coupled with a young, energetic, and robust research team with a deep understanding of the local contexts. In all our work, we give special attention to sensitivities in terms of the gender composition of our teams.

Managing Director
Selam is a seasoned research and evaluation expert with experience leading national and regional studies using mixed methods and HCD approaches. She has directed flagship projects with UNICEF, BBC Media Action, IFC, and KPMG, driving actionable insights for inclusive development.
Shane Girma
General Manager
Shane is an efficient manger with strong operational and management expertise, overseeing project execution, client coordination, and team performance at Insights Consults. With a results-oriented approach, she ensures high-quality delivery and efficient resource management across all consultancy assignments.
Negassa Gissila
Senior Researcher
Negassa is a seasoned development consultant with deep expertise in gender equality, nutrition-sensitive programming, and rural livelihoods. He has led high-impact evaluations in collaboration with organizations like UNICEF, Save the Children, and ILRI.
Yonas Tesfaye
Qualitative Researcher
Yonas is a veteran in field coordination and gender-focused M&E, having led evaluations for programs on reproductive health, financial access, and HIV/AIDS. He brings deep contextual understanding of rural and urban Ethiopia.

Field operations Manager
Habte is a field operations expert with over eight years of experience managing large-scale data collection projects. He specializes in survey implementation, quality control, and team supervision across Ethiopia’s most remote regions.
Meron Kedir
Quantitative Researcher
Meron is a data analytics and research expert with a strong background in digital tools and predictive modeling. She supports study design, analysis, and data visualization, and is currently completing her MSc in Data Analytics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
Deborah Desta
Data Manager
Deborah specializes in survey design, data quality assurance, and quantitative reporting. She supports data management for projects like UNICEF’s Social Norms Study and BBC’s Media Evaluation using SurveyCTO, SPSS, and STATA.
Sitiyana Bereda
Legal Advisor
Sitiyana is a legal and social development professional with over 12 years of experience advising private investors, NGOs, and corporate firms in Ethiopia. She holds an LL.B in Law and an MSc in Social Work, bringing a multidisciplinary approach to legal risk management, land acquisition, investment law, and stakeholder engagement.
