Selam is a research and program management specialist with years of practical working experience leading projects on health, agriculture, gender/ adolescent girls, climate change, media, and communications over the years. She has extensive experience working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a smooth relationship with partners, donors, government officials, and the senior management team.

Selam has a solid track record of using research, analysis, strategic planning, and negotiation skills to successfully implement projects. Selam invested most of her time in managing and evaluating development communication projects focusing on raising awareness and bringing social behaviour changes. Over the years she worked with Addis Ababa University, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, BBC Media Action, UNICEF, and Technoserve. In her free time, Selam enjoys traveling and taking pictures.

Agar is a program manager and communication specialist with practical work experience in designing and leading multidisciplinary projects. Through her experience, to bring practical change she purposefully choose to engage with projects that work on clean energy, technology introduction, fintech, gender/ adolescent girls, and media. Her vast experience involves multi-layer partnership and stakeholder engagement to ensure the successful completion of project per program objectives.

With passion and natural curiosity, Agar has researched several topics implementing different tools and methodologies. Her success in program management and research is also highly complimented by her extensive field-level knowledge and the breadth of professional connections she cultivated through the years. She has worked with Brooke Ethiopia, BBC Media Action, Girl Hub/Effect, WISE/COADY, Kifiya, Technoserve, and Fairplanet. In her free time Agar enjoys hiking, live concerts and good food.

Habte Gizachew

Operations Manager

Habte Gizachew serves as an Operation Manager at Insights Consults P.L.C. He has ample experience in managing field level and office level data collections managing a team of more than 40 people . He has worked as General field coordinator with Insight PLC during the first and second cohorts of the Enveritas coffee farmers survey in 2019 and 2020.

Currently he is managing the third round coffee farmers survey in Oromia, SNNPR and Sidama regions monitoring the security and Covid-19 situation on the ground. Habte has worked in many parts of Ethiopia having a strong network in major cities of the country. In addition to managing data collection, Habte has a good eye for cleaning incorrect data.

Negassa Gissila

Research Associate

Negassa Gissila has demonstrable experience with International Development Agencies in the areas of Rural Livelihood, Migration, Social protection, gender issues, and Mass Media and Communication-related topics. Currently, Negassa is working as a consultant in various areas of Development and communication that includes among others carrying out the effect/impact of mass media campaigns on the target audience.

Negassa was engaged in a study that focused on the Situations and Needs of Returnees from the Republic of Saudi Arabia for the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and International Labor Organization (ILO). He also provided training on Irregular Migration, trafficking in person and on Reintegration of Returnees for Media Members in Amhara, Oromia and Tigray regional states for ILO. Most recently, he has engaged in the development of communication strategy on the reintegration of returnees into the community for International Migration.

He has strong people skills and an understanding of government structures that allowed him to successfully navigate and prioritize activities. He has a solid track record in M&E, training, research, analysis, reporting, training manual development, and project management.

Meron Kedir

Data Quality Officer

Meron Kedir, has hands on experience in conducting and coordinating qualitative and quantitative research. She leads the designing of questionnaires using survey solutions, Kobo collect and Survey CTO, and monitoring data quality daily. Specifically, she supports all aspects of research, from design, preliminary data analysis, visualization, and coordination.

Meron Ketsela

Accountant

Meron is a new graduate who joined Insights consults in 2019. At Insights, Meron did a number of things for the first time, such as traveling to new locations, staying away from family for a long time, and meeting so many new people. One year of experience as a Junior accountant at Insights Consults P.L.C.,

she is an excellent team player who respects people’s preferences, choices and enables them to participate in the work of the company as an employee. Meron has a good knowledge of accounting rules and the Ethiopian Tax Law which includes providing assistance for various accounting duties such as preparing financial statements, reconciling bank statements, and general ledgers. Meron manages the companies accounts and day-to-day financial transactions with relevant software, and excellent communication skills. She has a BA Degree in Accounting and Finance from Rift Valley University in 2019 and speaks Amharic and English languages.

Shane Girma

Finance and Administration Officer

Shane has been working at Kaldi’s Coffee for Four years from junior to senior F&B, for over three years of experience as an accountant at Loni agro-industry, Semu Real estate, and Adamu certified accountants, she joined Insights Consults PLC as a senior accountant in 2018 and she has done a lot of work since

then, for example, reviewing and preparing the organization financial records for auditing. Shane manages the companies accounts and day-to-day financial transactions, assists with audits and taxes, prepares financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders, as well as executes any legal matters related to government agencies. Shane has a solid knowledge of accounting procedures and the Ethiopian Tax Law. Shane holds a BA degree in Accounting and Finance from Addis Ababa University in 2020. Shane speaks Afan Oromo, Amharic, and English.
